Super Powers and Super Heroes Wanted Volunteers online and offline With the announcement of our new Spider-Man online safety project, we will need some extra help in four main areas: editorial, copyright and content development; Web site coding and graphic design; online research and locating special resources for and list servs of teachers, school administrators, librarians and library-media specialists; and working with kids and teachers in a protected communication network. These are special projects and either require an intense time commitment for a short period of time (two or three days of writing) or short time commitments for a longer period of time (one or two hours a week for several months). Some of these special projects can also accommodate a one-time involvement for a few hours. While our regular volunteers must take extensive training and obtain a police clearance letter prior to being active within the organization, given the nature of these projects (all but the working with children), we will be reducing the training requirements to our code of conduct class and will waive the police clearance requirement for these spot projects.
